The red, white and blue still flies happily but only in Russia. Russia still has St George defeating the Dragon with the symbol of the cross on its’ flag. The ACLU and other atheist groups in America would never allow the US flag with such religious symbols. Lawsuits a plenty against religious freedom and expression in the land of the free. Christianity in the U.S. is under attack as it was during the early period of the Soviet Union when religious symbols were against the law.

As we all know, guns violence is a male dominated event. And it has to do with male aggression. Many changes are made in our lives after we observe other people and their successful ways of existing. If we look at any other civilized country and the restriction of private ownership of guns in direct relation to overall murder rates, which are far lower then they are in this country, then this should serve a a model for us. At least this is an intelligent way of looking at the problem before us.
Time to renew calls for the NYT to release a .jpz of all its puzzles alongside the usual formats. A .jpz would have been able to outline the checkerboard and allow for an additional across entry that would allow the solver to fill in that pattern.
